The 10 Most Dreamy Luxury Honeymoon Hotels in Europe

A European honeymoon is all about refined culture, classic elegance, and timeless romantic settings. That is why the honeymoon hotel you choose can make all the difference! It’s not just about the locations, or the luxury suites fit for kings (and queens). What sets these honeymoon hotels on this list apart from the rest is the service; you can rest easy knowing that every detail of your experience is taken care of and thoughtfully executed. So that when you get back from exploring your destination of choice, you know that you can fully relax in decadent luxury. These are truly the most dreamy honeymoon hotels in all of Europe and each one is bucket-list worthy in it of itself!

Belmond Hotel Caruso, Ravello, Italy

If you’re looking for a secluded, quiet Italian honeymoon resort that screams luxury while whispering “La Dolce Vita”, Belmond Hotel Caruso in Ravello, Italy is it. While Positano and many areas of the Amalfi Coast are busy and bustling with crowds in the summertime, this romantic gem of the Amalfi Coast remains charming, relaxing, and ultra-quiet. Ravello is a tiny town tucked 1000 feet up into the cliff-sides of Italy, and is one of my absolute favorite places in the world, with stunning panoramic views, gorgeous classic Italian hotels, and an adorable town full of delicious Italian restaurants and enotecas (wine bars). The Belmond Hotel Caruso is the ultimate place to soak up everything the Italian town, and the Amalfi Coast, has to offer. Not to mention it has one of the most beautiful infinity pools in the world!!!

Airelles, La Bastide de Gordes

France has a way of making everything feel a bit more glamorous, am I right? And no honeymoon in France would be complete without a visit to the infamous Provence region. Nestled high on a cliff next to a 12th century castle in the charming village of Gordes, lies La Bestide. Formerly a stately home from the time when French art and living was at its peak, you’ll notice the old world charm in the dry stone walls, leather bound books and Louis XV antiques. With a brand new Sisley spa, four swimming pools and a second restaurant by Michelin-starred chef Pierre Gagnaire, there is no lack of things to do when you’re not exploring the rustic countryside.  Did I mention the hotel offers picture-perfect panoramic views over the Luberon valley from its many terraces and hanging gardens? DREAMY.

Hotel Du Cap, Eden Roc

Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, French Riviera: Exclusive Review - Indagare

Looking for the most famous hotel in Europe? The ritzy French Riviera Hotel du Cap Eden Roc may just be it. Dramatically perched on the tip of Cap d’Antibes, this 142-year-old hotel with 118 sun-drenched rooms, a Champagne lounge, a seaside spa, a private pier, and a saltwater swimming pool is a Côte d’Azur icon. It is a favorite among celebrities and the jet-set alike, and is easily one of the most iconic honeymoon destinations in the French Riviera.

The Grand Hotel Cap Ferrat, A Four Seasons Hotel – French Riviera

Another French Riviera favorite is the Four Seasons Cap Ferrat. Set amongst other luxury villas that all date back to the 1800’s, this incredible French-chateau-turned-hotel sits along the sparkling crystal clear French Riviera. The main building is a majestic white palace draped in marble. Boasting their own exclusive guests-only beach club and salt-water infinity pool, it’s safe to say there will be plenty of romantic lounging options for you and your new spouse. Bring on the bottles of rosé! If you’re tired after a long day of sunbathing, there’s even a glass bubble cable car that takes you too and from the beach area! Oo La la! This is what France honeymoon dreams are made of!

Mandarin Oriental – Lake Como, Italy

It comes as no surprise that dreamy Lake Como is home to some of the most glamorous hotels in the world, and the Mandarin Oriental more than delivers on all high expectations. With old-school elegance, epic gardens, stunning views and even a pool that seamlessly floats on the lake – this hotel redefines the meaning of “fantasy suite”. A true oasis and still just 45 minutes from the bustling city of Milan! Just when you were thinking there’s no way it could get even better, they threw in a Michelin Star restaurant to top it all off (you already know food is the easiest way to my heart). Take a sunset boat cruise, explore the nearby villages, go wine tasting or maybe don’t even leave the quiet elegance of your room…

La Residencia, A Belmond Hotel, Mallorca – Spain

If you’re looking for a true escape, where you can reconnect with the beauty of nature while not missing out on a single ounce of luxury, then the Belmond La Residencia on the island of Mallorca is the spot for you. Two 16th- and 17th-century manor houses, on a hill facing the village of Deià, have been stunningly combined to make this beautiful hotel, furnished with artfully-chosen Mallorcan antiques, modern canvases, and canopied four-poster beds in every room. You’ll have the pristine rocky coastline and picturesque mountain views all to yourself. You’ll be treated to world-class dining your whole trip, with produce such as herbs, olives, fruit, and flowers from the hotel’s lush landscaped gardens coming straight to the kitchen and the guest rooms.

The Six Senses Douro Valley- Douro, Portugal

Just outside the city of Porto is the Douro Wine Valley, where the light is soft, the air is warm, and the smell of blooming vineyards is in the air. This UNESCO World Heritage Site comes alive in the autumn with the wine harvest- a road trip is an absolute MUST! Stop along your way at some of the best wineries in Portugal to have tastings and delicious small plates! Wind your way through the rolling hills until you reach the Six Senses Douro Valley â€“ where infinity pool views and delectable gastronomy awaits. If you have time, take a wine-themed sunset river cruise for the best views of the surrounding countryside. Kenny and I absolutely loved this hotel (check out my highlight on instagram stories here) and their amazing spa, pool surrounded by vineyards, and delicious farm-to-table food. We hardly wanted to leave the property!!!!

Casa Cook – Rhodes, Greece

Casa Cook Rhodes Greece

The lesser known but no less beautiful Greek island of Rhodes is a perfect honeymoon destination if you plan on island hopping in Greece. This is the perfect oasis for couples who are still looking for the luxury amenities and epic beaches that Greece is known for, but who also want a little bit of an “off the beaten path” honeymoon destination. Here you can explore the hidden island nooks and crannies, sail the Aegean, visit natural springs, and explore the old town – all from right at your doorstep. Each room in the bohemian-chic, adults only Casa Cook has semi-private pools with their own veranda and swinging black hammocks. Yoga is offered daily and on the weekends you’ll find your own private poolside party with DJ to boot!

Hotel Santa Caterina, Amalfi

Hotel Santa Caterina is one of my very favorite hotels in the world. It is full of Italian charm, seaside views, and mediterranean magic. You’re not going to want to leave the hotel, especially with their to-die-for seaside beach club. But if you do, you’re just a 10-minute walk away from the center of Amalfi, where you can take ferries anywhere around the Amalfi Coast!

This is the hotel Kenny & I chose for the first leg of our Amalfi Coast honeymoon!

Dromoland Castle Hotel – Ireland

If your ideal honeymoon involves quaint Irish countryside, visiting the iconic Cliffs of Moher and stepping back in time to a 16th-century fairytale-esque castle, look no further. The Dromoland Castle Hotel is surrounded by 400-acres of natural beauty with extensive outdoor activities to keep you entertained. By day, you can choose from hiking, horseback riding, golfing or even archery! By night, indulge in a soothing massage followed by a multi-course tasting menu at Earl of Thomond Restaurant that spotlights native ingredients. With former guests like King George V, you know you’re about to be treated like royalty! I think this spot would be incredible for an autumn honeymoon. Think: fall foliage, sweater weather and crackling fire places! Someone fetch me a hot toddy!

Grace Hotel Santorini, Greece

Grace Hotel Santorini, an Auberge Resort, is easily one of the best hotels in Greece, and the world. Located in Imerovigli village on Santorini, it has a panoramic view of the sunset (unlike nearby Oia), and its tucked away location in Imerovigli makes it a much less crowded, more secluded choice for a luxury hotel in Santorini.  I especially loved their dreamy infinity pool, their food (SO GOOD!!!) and their champagne lounge for sunset cocktails.

Hotel De Paris Monte Carlo- Monaco

Meetings and events at Hotel de Paris Monte-Carlo 5*, Monte Carlo, MC

For the ultimate luxury experience in Europe, go where all the rich and famous summer – Monaco! Experience the infamous Monte Carlo casino right outside your window, with a constant stream of exotic cars and A-listers, perch on your balcony for some people watching with a bottle of bubbly, or maybe go for a day of exploring the shops down winding cobblestone streets and the overlooking views of the turquoise coastline. Top it all off at the 3-star Michelin restaurant on site or a massage at the spa. Monaco is a great 2-3 day stop on a broader European honeymoon through Italy or France!

Le Sirenuse – Positano, Italy

A legend amongst a coast of legends, this villa-turned-boutique-hotel first opened its doors to guests in 1951. The original owners were a wealthy family of art collectors, which can be seen in the details they chose to outfit this historic space: from the antique furniture pieces, the tiles on the flood and the exquisite artwork hanging on the walls. From the balcony of your room, you can see the colorful buildings of Positano tumble all the way down to the shore. It is also home to one of the best dinner spots in the area, La Sponda – where you can indulge in dishes like sea bass with candied lemon, chestnut ravioli with white truffles, and amberjack with grape jam. Outside of exploring the surrounding Amalfi Coast towns, you can enjoy trips to the fish market with the hotel’s chef, olive oil and limoncello tastings, pilates classes and even champagne voyages in the hotel’s yacht!

The Ritz Paris

When talking honeymoons, it would be a crime to leave out the city of love. Paris is one of the most romantic cities in the world. With its beautiful architecture, various museums, unparalleled shopping, and world-class food (give me all the wine, baguettes and cheese), it’s no wonder that this city is at the top of most newlyweds’ bucket lists! When it comes to your hotel experience, Paris offers the “creme de la creme”. But there’s still one hotel that stands out even amongst the very best, and that is The Ritz Paris. The Ritz embodies everything that Paris represents; class, elegance and indulgence.

The Ritz Paris is hands down the gold standard for luxury hotels in the world, and makes for a perfect honeymoon hotel in Paris. It is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever set foot in, and waking up in Paris to their fresh room service croissants in a bed fit for a king and queen was one of the most indulgent luxury hotel experiences I could have ever imagined. The iconic Ritz Paris has entertained celebrities, political figures, and the city’s elite for over a century.  It also has hands down one of the best locations in the city, in the 1st arrondissement, right near the Louvre and Royal Palace.
