The Best Bars for a Bachelorette Party in Charleston

Charleston is one of the most popular bachelorette destinations in the U.S., and for good reason!! Not only is this historic city absolutely gorgeous year-round, but it also has some of the BEST restaurants, shopping, and bars (which, to me, is the ultimate recipe for a fantastic bachelorette party!). Charleston being my hometown, I already have a ton of posts on where to stay, where to eat, where to shop, and what to do in Charleston (and what to wear while you do it!), so now, it’s time for me to break down the city’s best bars, specifically if you are visiting for a bachelorette party or girls trip!

Perhaps the chicest brunch spot in Charleston, Post House Inn is a must for your bachelorette party!! This restaurant and bar is located in Mount Pleasant and offers yummy brunch cocktails and coastal bites.

Saltwater Cowboys

This is a CAN’T MISS SPOT for your bachelorette party in Charleston! It’s over in Shem Creek which is slightly out of downtown, but it’s sooo worth the short trip. Saltwater Cowboys is right on the water, at the super-fun area of Shem Creek, which means it has a gorgeous view (I personally love seeing all of the beautiful boats out here!). BTW – be prepared, this place gets a little rowdy on a sunny Saturday afternoon, but in the best way.

Home Team BBQ

Home Team BBQ has quickly become one of Kenny and I’s favorite places to eat in Charleston! I think it may actually be Kenny’s #1 place to eat in the city. If you are looking for a casual lunch spot with great drinks, go here! And be sure to order the “Gamechanger” – it’s like a frozen painkiller!! Soooo yummy!

Vintage Lounge

If you are looking for a more sophisticated daytime spot with fine wines and cocktails, Vintage Lounge is the place to be. I highly recommend their wine and cheese pairings if your group loves charcuterie! And if you and your friends are self-proclaimed sommeliers, ask to try “The Blind,” which is a glass of wine you have to identify without any hints! If you guess it right, it’s FREE!!!

To throw your own daytime party on King Street

Kenny Flowers Cabana Club

The Kenny Flowers flagship store rents out the rooftop Cabana Club for bachelorette parties! The Cabana Club is SUCH a vibe and provides you with a truly private and luxurious experience to take a break during your busy shopping day on King Street, take some instagrammable pics and relax with some rose in hand. It’s a great place to sip rosé all day with your babes! To book, send us an email at [email protected]!!

The Best Going Out/Nighttime Bars in Charleston for a Bachelorette Party

Henry’s

Henry’s has a few different levels, so this really could fit into just about any of these categories! However, I think it’s best as a daytime cocktail vibe. Highly recommend their rooftop if the weather is nice! They are open from 11 am – 2 am, so no matter what time you are passing by, you should stop in for a drink.

Ritual

This Tulum-inspired Mexican rooftop restaurant on Calhoun Street is a great option for bachelorettes! It’s a great dinner spot for groups in Charleston, but it’s also a super fun place to party at night once the nightclub opens (look into VIP tables here).

Blind Tiger Pub

If you are going out in downtown Charleston, end the night here!! Blind Tiger Pub has won “best bar/pub in Charleston” a handful of times, so you know it’s good! Whether you find yourself in the pub or on the patio, you’re sure to have a good time here. It’s a hidden gem!!!

Uptown Social

The line here gets crazy, so be sure to go early, but it’s definitely the spot to be! The hippest rooftop in Charleston, Uptown is famous for its delish frozen cocktails, live music nightly, and amazing pizzas.

The Bangkok Lounge

Everyone becomes a Broadway singer after a few cocktails, so for a fun night singing karaoke with your girlfriends, head to The Bangkok Lounge! This is a hole-in-the-wall kind of place, so no need to dress to the nines if you are headed here. But be prepared to sing your hearts out and enjoy a frozen cocktail from the Tiki bar!

Republic Garden and Lounge

Republic is a must-do for any bachelorette party going to Charleston! It’s more of a club than you would ever expect on King Street (think chic bottle service and a dress code) and is always filled with beautiful people. Don’t be surprised if you run into the Southern Charm cast here!

The Best Places for Craft Cocktails and Pre-Dinner Drinks in Charleston on a Bachelorette Party

I don’t know about you, but I’m at a point in my life where I much prefer a craft cocktail at pre-dinner drinks with my friends rather than bottle service at the hottest nightclub. If you want to have a great time but also get to bed at a reasonable hour, I recommend these spots for the best cocktails in Charleston!

Felix

The best way I can describe Felix is that it gives espresso martini vibes. They have a great menu and are open for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner, but if you are looking for a spot to grab a good cocktail in the evening, it’s a winner in my book!

You 100% have to have a reservation to get in here – think ultra-chic, luxurious Polo Lounge vibes! Great craft cocktails with an old-money aesthetic.

Bar 167

A solid place to grab a drink before dinner! Especially if you love seafood – their raw bar is to die for!!!

Last Saint

Last Saint kind of gives retro/mid-century modern vibes, which is so fun! You could totally stay here later and have a great time, but to me, it’s more of a spot to grab a cocktail or two before or after dinner vs. a place to dance the night away.

Cocktail Club

Located on King Street, Cocktail Club is an upscale lounge serving up some of the best craft cocktails in Charleston! It tends to get pretty crowded here in the evenings, so you may want to book a res (or head here early to beat the crowd).

Palace Hotel

Another spot that isn’t RIGHT downtown, but I feel like it was made for bachelorette parties! It’s a great spot to end your night in a funky late night spot. Think brightly-colored umbrellas, fun (and chic) wall graffiti, and neon lights.

The Best Bars to Watch the Sunset in Charleston on a Bachelorette Party

Citrus Club

This cocktail bar is a liiiiittle pricey, but IMO, the views at sunset are worth the price of the drinks! The rooftop, which is the highest in the city, has stunning skyline views that just can’t be beaten.

The Windjammer

SUCH a great beach bar located on the Isle of Palms! Watch the sun sink over the water with a tropical cocktail in hand while you enjoy live music with your girlfriends. It’s the ultimate Charleston beach vibe!
