How to Celebrate Fourth of July at Home in Quarantine
Fourth of July is coming up FAST! I swear it just hit me that it’s next weekend!!! Wow – literally where did this year go? Anyway – if you need some quick tips on how to make the 4th of July celebration fun and special at home for your loved ones, kids, family, or just you and your significant other, I’ve got you covered! We just recently celebrated my fiance’s 30th birthday in quarantine and it was SO much fun. It showed me that a little decoration and a little fore-thought goes a long way when it comes to creating special celebrations at home, and it’s really easy once you know a few easy things you can get delivered to help with the celebration!
Table of Contents
1. Get some Fourth of July decorations to bring your home to life in lockdown
Free shipping by the Fourth on Party City decor & American flags!
2. Have some games ready for you and your family / quaranteam to keep you entertained
We’ve been BIG into Liars Dice at our house lately (and you can get a whole set for under $20 on Amazon here – so much fun and so easy for any group, and any age!!). If you want to get a little more active with your group, set up Croquet, Bocce Ball, Pickle Ball, or Spike Ball!
As far as fun active sports and games you can play at home go, I recently tried pickle ball for the first time and it is my new favorite game. Spike Ball is all I see anyone playing on the beach these days in San Diego, and croquet is a classic! We played for Father’s Day this year with my family and it was so fun.
3. Make sure everybody dresses the part and dresses up in spirit for the 4th!
Dressing up always puts everyone in a great mood – so put on your best red, white and blue swimsuits, your cute all-american cover ups, and 4th of July Hawaiian shirts for grilling out.

4. Decide on a fun All-American menu for the Fourth
I’d recommend grilling up burgers, hot dogs, and some fun Fourth of July desserts and appetizers you find on Pinterest!
Don’t feel like cooking? Order an AMAZING apple pie from Goldbelly. (also such a sweet thing to send a loved one in quarantine to let them know you’re thinking of them!)
And, of course, stock up on some good wine (Red, White, and Rosé!!!!)
(My go-to rosé for backyard BBQ’s)

Hey Christina, thanks for sharing all these wonderful ideas! We ordered a few Goldbelly pies this year (especially during the quarantine) and they were yummilicious! Definitely will be ordering an apple pie for this 4th of July! I also love the paper fans, hopefully it’s not too late to order to get them before the 4th… Anyway, thanks for the write-up and HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!!
