The Best 3-Day Weekend Guide to Miami Beach

Heading to Miami for a weekend and wondering what to put on your itinerary? With tons of activities, spacious resorts and white-sand beaches, plus a ton of outdoor dining, and the quintessential retro-chic, art deco culture everywhere you look, a few days escape to Miami is always a good idea.

Whether you’re traveling to Miami as a couple, as a family, with a group of friends, or for a Miami bachelorette party, you’re going to LOVE exploring Florida’s sunniest city.

Friday

Arrive to Miami Beach and check in to The Palms Hotel in Miami Beach.

Then head to cocktails & dinner at Pretty Swell!

Pretty Swell, located in Lifestyle Hotel, is in a tucked-away part of South Beach, and was the perfect quiet oasis in the big city with delicious food (order the Wagyu Beef tacos, yum!!!), and awesome drinks like their signature spicy watermelon margarita. It’s the perfect spot for a date, or even as a family. We brought the baby here and sat outside and it was such a great atmosphere!

Saturday

Wake up, then walk the boardwalk up to grab breakfast, coffees, and healthy cold-pressed juice or acai bowl at Crema Gourmet.

After, head to the beach for some sun and relaxation. Break out a beach read, and soak up the Miami heat.

That afternoon, if you feel like taking in some culture, head to the Art Deco Museum for a tour, followed by strolling your way down the streets of Miami Beach.

Dinner at Amalia at the Lennox Hotel

I loved this spot for a romantic dinner date spot. The food and wine were delicious and the atmosphere was so cute, quaint and romantic! I also have stayed in the Lennox Hotel before and it’s a great boutique spot just off the beach!

If you feel like going out after dinner, or are with a group in Miami, check out uber-trendy retro neon club Basement, located in the Basement of the Miami Beach EDITION hotel, and only open on Friday and Saturdays. Also, adjacent to the nightclub is a four-lane bowling alley with oversize LED screen displays and fun lighting.

Sunday

Head back to Crema Gourmet for some breakfast bites and fresh juice, then either go kayaking in the bay, get out on a boat, or if you’re feeling more like a relaxing morning, snag a cabana at the resort pool until your flight out!
