New York City is one of those locations that experiences every season. During the spring in New York, you can expect temperatures between 50 and 70 degrees. Summer heats up to an average of 80 to 90 degrees, then fall brings those temperatures back down between 55 and 75. Winter is another story altogether! New York City is known for its bitterly cold winters, which range from 45 on the high end to the 20s and 30s on the lower end on average.
No matter what season you end up visiting in, it’s important to plan out your outfits according to the weather (and your itinerary!).
What to Pack for a Trip to New York City in the Spring
This flowy dress is perfect for a spring day in New York!
If you are going on a girls trip to New York City, this top is perfect for brunch or a vibey dinner! It could also be great for date night with your boo.
You will 100% want sneakers to walk around in during the day because you will be on your feet A LOT. Might as well strut your stuff in style with a pair of Golden Gooses!
For a more comfy/affordable option, opt for these white and gold Adidas sneakers! I wore them on my last trip to NYC and they were perfect.
Wear the Marc Jacobs snapshot bag as a crossbody or a belt bag! Ideal for running around the city when you need to keep your phone, wallet, and MetroCard on easily accessible.
These bow earrings would be so cute for dinner in the city.
A pair of gold hoops are a necessity for any trip/wardrobe!
These are some of my favs, too! They have more of a shiny finish.
What to Pack for a Trip to New York City in the Summer
Summer in New York City can be pretty dang hot, so I highly recommend packing tanks like this one!
Pair these with faux leather leggings for the perfect NYC look. I love that these are fairly waterproof since you’ll likely be walking through snow in the winter!
