How I stay connected while traveling: Kiwi for Gmail

A lot of people are always asking how I’m able to stay connected and organized while traveling so I figured I’d share one of my favorite travel hacks – Kiwi for Gmail. Kiwi is powerful, elegant organization app that brings gmail to your desktop and that makes life way easier on the road.

When you start using Kiwi for Gmail, the first thing you’ll notice is that it feels just like Gmail. It’s not a different interface at all, which makes transitioning from a life spent in-browser to the much more organized life of having your email and gmail apps easily accessible on your desktop, simple and streamlined. We all love gmail, Kiwi doesn’t try to reinvent the wheel, it just brings the familiar Gmail interface out of your browser and on to your desktop, so you can get a lot more done, wherever you are.

I don’t know about you guys but I always have a million tabs open on my computer. I’m a multi-tasker by nature so I’m constantly juggling emails, research, articles, and social media in about 1000 open tabs in my browser. When my email, spreadsheets, and google docs are lost among all of those tabs, I find myself getting distracted and not nearly as efficient. As soon as I made the switch to Kiwi, I noticed a big difference in my ability to stay on top of emails. I could have both my personal and business emails open in the app, interchangeable with one click, and I could connect it to the Boomerang plugin, an app I use to make sure I’m on top of deadlines and sponsorships, as well.

Getting started with Kiwi is super simple. All you do is sign in with your existing Gmail account(s), and you’re up and running. There’s zero learning curve with Kiwi. My favorite part about it is that you get all the best Google features in one place, instead of just a minimized inbox. With Kiwi, you can use Google chat (Hangouts), access your Google Calendar, use Google sheets and docs, and even quickly access your Google Drive account (which is super important for me since I use that to store all my vacation photos).

It’s an absolutely awesome app that I couldn’t live without & I highly recommend for any gmail users who are tired of having to go through the browser every time they want to check their email.
