The Most Instagrammable Places in Bali

Bali is arguably the most photogenic island in the world.  Think: dreamy infinity pools spilling over into crystal-clear oceans. Jungles wild with lush palm trees, waterfalls, and adorable monkeys. Fiery sunsets. Colorful fruit bowls. Coconuts with a straw. Absolutely everything about Bali screams #vacationgoals. And while I don’t believe in just traveling for the gram, I do believe that everyone should have amazing photos of vacation memories to look back on (that are beautiful and edited with Jetset Presets!). And, with every corner of Bali being the instagram candy that it is, I’m sure you will find no problem snapping those memories.

But with so much to see on this beautiful island, how do you even choose where to go and what to ‘gram? Here’s my round up of the most Instagrammable places in Bali (featuring some of my favorite instagrammers in Bali!) to help you out.

The Edge Bali

The Edge hotel‘s glass-bottom infinity pool jets out onto a cliff 150 meters below. It is easily one of the most architecturally stunning pools in the world, and makes for a drop-dead-gorgeous photo. Even if you’re not staying in the resort, you can buy a day-pass to The Edge’s One Eighty Beach Club to access the pool.

Rock Bar

Rock Bar Bali, located within the Ayana Resort in Uluwatu, is one of my favorite bars in the world.  Cocktails & sunsets are two of my very favorite things, and nobody does both better than Rock Bar. As much an architectural feat as it is a bar, this place gives all new meaning to having your ‘drink on the rocks’. You’ll take an elevator down the cliff to the bar, which jets out just 13 meters above Jimbaran Bay, where you’ll find romantic candle-lit tables, comfy lounges, signature cocktails, and a backdrop of waves crashing, and splashing, around you as you watch the sun set the sky on fire.

Ulu Cliffhouse

This cliff-topping beach club in Uluwatu is a great place to post up by the pool sipping coconuts all day – and their sweeping views of Uluwatu makes for the perfect instagram spot in Bali.

Kynd Community

Picture-perfect Bali smoothie bowls.. and a pink wall that says “another day in paradise”! It doesn’t get more instagrammable than this.

Omnia Bali

One of Uluwatu’s newest beach clubs and one of its best yet. Built by the same Hakkasan group behind Vegas’s Omnia, this contemporary day club seems like it belongs in Ibiza.  It’s the first adults-only day club to hit the island, and every corner of it is instagram-worthy, from the swim up bar to the over-water sun beds, to the VIP cabanas with their own glittering plunge pools.

La Plancha Bali

La Plancha Beach Bar & Restaurant, located on Seminyak’s popular Mesari Beach, is known for it’s colorful sunsets and even more colorful bean bags. An awesome casual spot to end your beach day with your feet in the sand and a drink your hand.

Gili Island Swings

Swinging over the sunset in The Gili Islands. Any questions?

The Viceroy Resort, Ubud

The rooms at the Viceroy in Ubud feature private pools with gazebos that are just made for instagramming your breakfast in the jungle.

The Ayana Pool at the Ayana Resort

Does it get more picture-perfect than this pool?? It’s located within the beautiful Ayana Resort – which is one of my favorite resorts in all of Bali.

Sea Circus Bali

This funky, whimsical brunch restaurant in Seminyak is a favorite among locals and visitors alike. Sea Circus is the perfect spot to get a modern breakfast of champions – something nutritious, satisfying, and of course, Instagram-worthy.

La Brisa Bali

This new sunset spot in Canggu just opened and is already attracting insta-celebs from all over the world. It’s nautical, boatwood vibes and prime location overlooking the waves of Echo Beach make it a hot spot, and the food and cocktails will keep you there all night long (or until it closes at midnight and you make your way to Old Man’s).

Single Fin Uluwatu

Single Fin, famous for its sunsets and Sunday night dance parties, is one place to not miss out on in Bali. The food & drinks are great, the atmosphere fun, and the sunsets un-bali-evable.

Tegalalang Rice Fields

The Tegalalang rice fields in Ubud are so lush and so beautiful. They are a huge part of Balinese culture and one that tourists love to come and see. Walking up and down the terraces, taking in the sweeping views, and having a big Indonesian lunch overlooking the rice fields is a must-do.

Don’t forget to crop & post.

Thomas Beach Bali

Hands down my favorite beach in Bali, up until just a couple months ago, Thomas Beach Uluwatu didn’t even come up on Google. It was a local’s secret (and I loved it that way), but, these days, there are cute little beach shacks, restaurants and umbrellas set up, and the masses are starting to figure out about this beautiful little gem. It’s a bit of a trek to get to (Follow my directions on how to get to Thomas Beach here), and a looot of steps down. But these views are worth it.

Bingin Beach, Uluwatu

Uluwatu is my favorite part of Bali for it’s stunning beaches, and Bingin Beach is my favorite. The water is to die for. It’s crystal clear, aqua blue, and a surfer’s haven.

Don’t miss out on the chance to say hi to the Instagram King of Bingin Beach himself, Bima @Bima_Bingin_Beach_Dog

Motel Mexicola

Motel Mexicola is my favorite restaurant in Bali. Not only is every corner of it is so cute, colorful and picture-perfect, but the Mexican food here is also DELICIOUS. Take chips & guac, the best pina coladas on the island, some killer live music, an awesome ambiance, and boom. You’ve got the best fiesta in Bali.

The Infinity Pool @ The Legian Bali

Does it get dreamier than the infinity pool at The Legian Bali? I don’t think so.

Sekumpul Waterfalls

The Sekumpul waterfalls in the Singaraja region of Bali are a little harder to get to than the Tenenguan Waterfall, but are some of Bali’s most spectacular.

Angel’s Billabong, Nusa Penida

This gorgeous natural swimming pool, located off of Broken Beach, makes for a beautiful place to climb down and cool off when the tides are low.

Crate Cafe, Canggu

If you’re looking for the most instagrammable cafes in Bali, Crate Cafe is your spot. It’s not uncommon to run into famous surfers, insta models, and any celebs visiting Bali at this gorgeous, spacious, outdoor cafe. They have one of the best breakfasts in Bali, their prices are great and portions are huge.  Order the two-timer smoothie, the fruit plate, and the breakfast burrito if you’re really hungry.
