The Best Instagram Spots in Cartagena, Colombia

With colorful streets, colonial architecture, and tropical vibes, amazing photo spots in Cartagena are seemingly everywhere you look, but the exact locations of the best photo spots in Cartagena can be hard to find, which is why I’ve rounded up this list of the best instagram spots in Cartagena, Colombia to take your Colombia vacation photos to a whole other level. And while I’m never one to “travel for the photo”, I LOVE photography and find it such a fun part of traveling – so when one of the questions I kept getting from you guys on Instagram while I was in Cartagena was where I was taking all my photos, I decided to write this post!

These beautiful photography locations are all within walking distance of all the hotels in the historic district (if you’re wondering where to stay in Cartagena, check out my guide here) so you can spend more time soaking in the beauty of the city and less time trying to search for good photo spots… while still nailing those Colombia instagrams.

Calle 9

If you’re looking for where to find colorful Colombian streets in Cartagena, Calle 9 is a great place to start. I’d recommend going in the morning for the best lighting, and so you can beat the crowds!

The Umbrella Street, Getsemani

Calle Angosto in the trendy Getsemani neighborhood of Cartagena is a instagrammable heaven of umbrella-ceilinged streets and adorable eateries.

Hotel Casa San Agustin

You have to be staying at the hotel to take advantage of this beautiful instgram spot in Cartagena, but if you are – it is absolute instagram HEAVEN. Casa San Agustin is an oasis in the city, and easily the most luxurious and most instagrammable hotel in Cartagena, and all of Colombia.

Calle de Don Sancho

This beautiful street has the million-dollar view of Cartagena’s gorgeous yellow church, and is one of my favorite photo spots in Cartagena. It gets busy as the day goes on, so start your day here in the morning for a beautiful view, and not a lot of people.

The Rosario Islands

Any of the Rosario Islands are instagrammable havens, but my favorite is Gente del Mar!

The rooftop of Hotel Charleston Santa Teresa

You’ll find a lot of people saying that the rooftop of the Movich Hotel is a good instagram spot, but I’ve personally heard REALLY negative reviews about the service and quality of this hotel, so I don’t love to support it. Instead, head to Hotel Charleston Santa Teresa‘s dreamy rooftop for a cocktail. The service at this hotel is impeccable, and their rooftop views are GORGEOUS!
