The Best Bali Bucket List

As you guys know by now from following me on the blog or on instagram, I base in Bali, Indonesia half the year! Over the past few years since quitting my job in marketing to blog full time, I’ve been running Jetset Christina as an expat living in beautiful Bali and this island has become my second home – not to mention my favorite travel destination to explore and write about! There are SO many bucket list things to do in Bali, whether you’re traveling to Bali for the first time, heading to Bali for a honeymoon, or moving to Bali as an expat like we did!

So what are the Bali bucket list experiences you must check off when you travel to Bali?

*Note, it would be IMPOSSIBLE to do all of these in one trip, but this is a big round up of ALL my favorite Bali experiences, so if you can’t fit them all in one trip – I guess you’ll just have to come back for another one!!

Sunset at Single Fin

Watching a sunset at Single Fin is like a rite of passage on any trip to Bali. It’s also one of my favorite bars in the world – the views are stunning.

Tegalalang Rice Terraces

Cocktails at Rock Bar

Omnia Bali

A day (and sunset) at Sundays Beach Club in Uluwatu

Ulu Cliffhouse

Secret Beach

Do a flower bath

Floating breakfast – A BALI MUST!

Visit Nusa Penida

Tegenungan Waterfall

The biggest and most famous waterfall to visit in Bali– definitely a must do for a first-time to Bali, but if you’ve been around the island a bit, you’ll want to check out some of the less known waterfalls!

Eat at Naughty Nuri’s

World famous for their ice-cold martinis and melt-in-your-mouth barbecue pork ribs, Anthony Bourdain’s favorite Naughty Nuri’s is a must-do for all meat lovers traveling to Bali.

Eat a Pizza at Da Maria

One of my very favorite restaurants for a date night in Bali!

Sunset Cocktails at La Brisa Canggu

Eat a Fish Dinner on the Beach in Jimbaran

Have an instagram-worthy smoothie bowl with your name in it at Kynd

Just don’t go there if you’re traveling to Bali with a peanut allergy! You can read more about why on this post.

Stay at Bambu Indah

One of the most unique hotels in Bali – the epitome of eco-luxe.

Watch the Sunrise at Mount Batur

This popular sunrise morning hike will have you setting your alarm for 2am, but the sunrise views of the gorgeous volcano make it all worth it. You’ll climb to the top in the dark (make sure to pack a jacket!), and get to the top right as the sun is rising, and you’ll be down and back to your hotel by about 10am. It’s one of the best activities to do in Bali.

Hike the Campuhan ridge walk

The Campuhan ridge walk, or the Campuhan Ridge Trek, is one of my favorite easy hikes in Bali. It takes about an hour and there are lots of restaurants and cafes to grab an ice cold coconut on the trek. It’s beautiful!

Ride a motorbike

Snorkel with Manta Rays in the Gili Islands

Do yoga at Yoga Barn

Rent an epic villa like this one with your friends

This insane villa on the cliff with beach club access – the most beautiful I’ve ever stayed in in Bali!

Give back to the Island

At just 16 years old, my fiance Kenny created a nonprofit foundation to send underprivileged teenagers to college in Indonesia. His foundation in Bali CEO4Teens (Creating Educational Opportunities for Teenagers) has been responsible for not only helping to start Campuhan College in Ubud, but also providing the financial backing for the tuition of more than 150 students’ education and counting.

If you want to learn more and potentially donate to this cause very near and dear to our hearts and give back to the island we all love – please check out this page here.
