Napa Valley: Wine Tasting at Trinchero Winery

Trinchero is one of the best Napa Valley wine tasting experiences there is. Tucked away along the Saint Helena highway are 22 acres of expansive vineyards revolving around a beautiful tasting room that is sophisticated, modern and cozy. Like the label’s wines, Trinchero Napa Valley‘s tasting experience is a perfect blend of elegance and warmth, making you feel right at home.

Launched in 2007, the TNV winery pays tribute to the legacy of Mario and Mary Trinchero, who settled in Napa Valley in 1948, and were instrumental in putting Napa Valley wine on the map. The entire portfolio of Trinchero Family Estates today includes more than 40 worldwide brands, from Sutter Home, Ménage à Trois, Napa Cellars, Folie à Deux, Terra d’Oro, SeaGlass, Montevina, Trinity Oaks, and many more. But this stunning Saint Helena tasting room is all about the Trinchero Family’s passion project- the delicious limited-production estate wines that make up the award-winning Trinchero Napa Valley label.

Opened last Summer in 2016, it’s here where winemaker Mario Monticelli shows off the elegant, award-winning wines made from grapes hand-selected from sustainably farmed vineyards, and they are incredible. My absolute favorites were their cabernet sauvignons (no surprise for a Northern California wine drinker, as we all are obsessed spoiled with Napa Valley cab sauvs).

Trinchero’s tasting room is just as beautiful and exquisite as the wines themselves. It has a tufted leather bar, gorgeous furniture, and French Oak floors. There are both indoor and outdoor areas, a beautiful terrace, event spaces, a gourmet culinary center, fire pit, a bocce court, and The Godfather is even playing above the urinal in the mens bathroom (yes, really!).

The hospitality team was by far my favorite part of the tasting experience here, and their kindness and contagious passion for Trinchero and their wine is what will keep me coming back every trip I take to the Valley. The TNV team is expertly trained and knowledgable, immediately making you feel like part of the Trinchero family. Along with standard wine tastings starting at $30, Trinchero offers some incredible experiences including “A Taste of Terroir,” a single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon comparative tasting with cheeses for $75 per person.

Even if you’re not planning to visit the Napa Valley anytime soon, or if you’re not local to California, the winery’s Legacy Club provides regularly scheduled shipments of Trinchero wines four times a year. You can learn more about it here!

Tastings at Trinchero Napa Valley start at $30, don’t require reservations, and are open from 10am-5pm.

I’d love to hear about where you like to taste in the valley in the comments! Enjoy Napa! Also, if you’re in the area, definitely let me know! I have lots of recommendations for the San Francisco Bay Area.

xo,
Christina
