All About My Wedding Day Jewelry: IVAR by Ritika Ravi

When it comes to what jewelry to wear on your wedding day, it all depends on the dress you’re wearing, your neckline, your style, and what style earrings suit you best. And while I’m not going to give anything away about my wedding dress quite yet, I am going to let you guys in on one aspect of my wedding (which was supposed to take place in Maui this Spring, but we’ve unfortunately, due to the timing, we have had to postpone to November – which you can read more about why here), and I can’t possibly keep this secret until then, so I’m going to let you guys in on something about my wedding I haven’t told anyone about yet – my jewelry!!!

These are the gorgeous earrings I’ll be wearing on my big day. As you guys know, I’m a huge gold jewelry fan (and if you haven’t read my post on all my favorite jewelry – here’s the link to that!) They are made from raw, uncut diamonds with a wrap around bottom that comes under the ear lobe. They’re absolutely stunning on, and they sparkle SO beautifully in the light. I can’t wait until you guys see what they look like on!!

Why IVAR by Ritika Ravi?

This jewelry brand has had my eye for a long time – it’s founded by a young entrepreneur who grew up in India (hence the creative, beautiful design of her jewelry) but founded her flagship store in none other than The Maldives. Ritika Ravi considers herself a “destination jeweler” and travel is core to the brand. She created IVAR with a vision of lightweight, fine, wearable jewelry, tailor-made for luxury travelers. 

Why these earrings for my wedding day

I was drawn to IVAR’s polki diamonds (raw, uncut diamonds), which are extremely rare because they’re notoriously difficult to work with – as each one is so unique, and each piece of jewelry is impossible to duplicate. I think there’s something inherently romantic to that – all these unique diamonds in their purest form coming together to create this beautiful piece of jewelry – I think these earrings symbolize love, and all the chaotic, raw, uncut pieces of Kenny and my life coming together in a beautiful, unique design all our own.
