15 Travel Skincare & Beauty Essentials I Can’t Live Without Right Now
I don’t know what it is about your late 20’s that makes you all the sudden realize, oh, crap, I REALLY need to start caring about my skin more, but that reality hit me hard this year. Your skin has a lot to deal with when you’re traveling a ton (from getting seriously dehydrated from recycled air on long flights, to fighting free radicals in new environments and polluted air). Not to mention spending so much time in the sun!! Traveling as much as I do, it’s important to always be taking care of my skin and using clean beauty ingredients that help keep my whole body healthy, and looking fresh and fabulous in every new destination.
These are my favorite skincare & beauty products in the world right now, and what’s always in my carry-on for trips. So whether you’re looking for jetsetter beauty essentials, honeymoon beauty essentials, or skincare tips for travel, this holy grail beauty list is for you.
15 Travel Skincare & Beauty Essentials To Pack for Your Next Trip
C-firma Vitamin C everyday serum
As you guys know I’m obsessed with Drunk Elephant. And I’m not the only one – Shiseido bought drunk elephant skincare line for $845 million last week. This line is AMAZING, and if you haven’t tried it – you need to! This vitamin C serum is what I use every morning.
What does C-firma do for your skin? Vitamin C is meant to brighten skin tone and even discoloration, reduce premature aging, and can even get rid of scarring. Not only that, it’s an antioxidant – meaning it protects the skin from environmental factors that harm your skin every day – like pollution, ultraviolet light, and other free radicals. I use it in the morning rather than in the evening, and I put it on immediately after washing my face, before any other products. A good general rule of thumb is to apply your skincare from lightest, to most dense, so vitamin C is always first.
Seriously Fab’s Zinc It Over Sunscreen Spray
You’ll never need regular face sunscreen again if you spray this topical fine & sheer sunscreen mist over your makeup. The best part? It’s all natural, made with Non-Nano Zinc Oxide and with zero yucky chemicals. And both the full-size and mini bottles are TSA-approved for your carry-on for travel. Designed for use over your makeup but this beauty can also be used on your bare skin!

The Best In-flight Eye Mask
These eye masks are worth every penny for travelers! They make you look awake and refreshed, no matter if you’re landing off a red-eye or a 24-hour flight to the Maldives. The benefits also last long after you land, and make you look SO fresh. These babies are GOLD.
Glossier’s Balm dot com
I’m always applying my favorite lip balm (Glossier’s Balm dotcom) throughout any flight or vacation to keep my lips from getting dry. It’s also a do-everything salve which means it’s nourishing for lips, elbows, cuticles, anything!
Living Proof Humidity Shield Hairspray
I love packing the travel size of Living Proof’s life-saving humidity shield for any tropical trip – like Bali. This stuff seriously WORKS, feels weightless, and my hair desperately needs anytime I’m in tropical weather.
The Best in-flight Sheet Face Mask
I’m a huuuuge fan of in-flight masking. As soon as we take off on a long flight, I’ll wash my face, clear off any makeup, and then stick one of these best masks for flying on. It’s such a good way to keep your face hydrated on a long flight. This one by Dr. Jart is so good at moisturizing, while also enhancing moisture retention and strengthening the skin’s barrier by preventing water loss. KEY for a long travel day.
Acne Patch Pimple Patches
These little pimple patches have a massive cult following on Amazon. If you have an unwanted blemish pop up on your honeymoon, don’t worry! Stick one of these patches on overnight and by morning you’ll have glowing, blemish-free skin. Also a bridal beauty must-have!
Drunk Elephant Marula Oil
This travel-sized face oil is a god-send for vacations where you want a little extra glow (and hit of skin health). You guys already know how obsessed I am with Drunk Elephant Products from my Drunk Elephant Product Review, but this oil in particular is a must-have for travel. This oil reverses signs of aging and has huge antioxidant benefits against environmental stressors and free radicals (PERFECT if you’re traveling somewhere with more polluted air). You’ll notice a reduction in the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, redness, and blotchiness, with improvement in your skin’s elastic feel.
A silk eye-mask
I never travel without my Slip silk eyemask, you guys! A good quality eye mask is my #1 recommendation when it comes to sleeping on planes and adjusting to new time zones. AKA looking fresh af when you land. Slipsilk’s eyemasks are made from the softest silk that is anti-aging, anti-sleep-crease, and (most importantly) anti jet-lag. What more could you ask for!?
